L theanine and cbd reddit

For me l-theanine helped but I felt like my body quickly adapted to it tolerance wise and after a while it lost it's spark for me. CBD hasn't done that yet for me. It may be a totally different experience for you so it's worth a try.

CBD alone doesn't cure my anxiety but it helps a lot. I need to do other things to calm down like exercise, eating healthy, sleeping enough, cutting back on drinking, less coffee, etc.

Has anyone here tried L-Theanine supplements to treat anxiety? How does it compare to CBD?

One really helpful thing I've found lately for my anxiety is deep stretching. Especially hamstring and hip stretches. For some reason I am so relaxed after that so I've been doing this at night when I can.

Has anyone had success with this?

If you can get a legit prescription for it Hydroxyzine works well. It's actually an antihistamine but one of its off-label uses that it's sometimes prescribed for is generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Bear in mind that, just like Benadryl, it is after all an antihistamine and can make you extremely drowsy if taken during the day. Clonidine is also another great one if you can get it prescribed which has been used to help people who are abruptly or slowly weening themselves off of benzos, alcohol, and opioids (it lowers blood pressure a lot, something to be mindful of if you already have low blood pressure). Neither of them are benzodiazepines and neither of them really have abuse potential since they don't really produce euphoric effects but they do get the job done with respect to stopping the anxiety and panic attacks when you're off the benzos but sometimes only temporarily, but then again, sometimes you just need that temporary substitute that lasts long enough to just get off the benzos for good.

400mg L-Theanine, 500mg Ashwagandha and 500mg L-Tyrosine.

I take L-theanine with caffeine and the theanine alone just makes me zoned in and relaxed.

All the other supplements already mentioned are great like the Kava Kava and CBD but in addition to those I would also recommend Lemon Balm, Passionflower, Valerian Root, 7,8-Dihydroxyflavone, Rhodiola Rosea, Picamilon, Clouracetam, L-Tryptophan, Chamomile, Skullcap, Inositol, and believe it or not, Noopept. I administered 40 mg of Noopept literally every single day for 3 months straight and by the 2nd week it produced a profound, very noticeable anxiolytic effect that made me feel refreshed. In addition to its anxiolytic effect, it also increases levels of nerve growth factor (NGF) in the brain which could potentially help you form new neurons and synapses that have been damaged by prolonged/chronic use of Benzos (benzos mess with your memory like crazy, but Noopept can repair that thru its NGF).
